Jonathan David Shines Against Atlético Madrid

Canadian striker Jonathan David continues to make waves in European football, solidifying his status as one of the standout players in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League. In a remarkable display, David scored two goals for Lille in their recent victory over Atlético de Madrid at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. With this achievement, Jonathan David became the first player from Concacaf to score against both Atlético and Real Madrid in the same Champions League season.

David‘s performance has been nothing short of spectacular, boasting 10 goals and 2 assists in his first 15 games of the season. His contributions have been vital for Lille, both in Ligue 1 and during the Champions League group stage. He showcased his skills by converting a penalty against Real Madrid and then again against Atlético, scoring another goal from open play.
